Ragnamex Hardcore: Professions

Ragnamex Hardcore is a challenging custom server featuring a unique and immersive profession system. Professions are a core part of the gameplay, allowing players to specialize in resource gathering or item crafting.

Each profession is learned through its corresponding instructor, located in various cities throughout the world. Some professions are focused solely on gathering materials and do not use recipes, while others are dedicated to crafting and require recipe knowledge.

Types of Professions

Professions in Ragnamex are divided into two main categories: gathering professions and crafting professions. Below is a list of all available professions:

Gathering Professions

These allow players to collect materials from the environment or defeated creatures.

  • Miner: Extracts ores and gems from underground veins.
  • Herbalist: Gathers herbs and plants used in potions and magical enhancements.
  • Skinner: Harvests hides, scales, and leather from defeated beasts.

Crafting Professions

Crafting professions require recipes to create useful items such as gear, consumables, or enchantments.

  • Alchemist: Creates potions, elixirs, and magical brews.
  • Blacksmith: Forges metal weapons and armor.
  • Enchanter: Enhances items with magical properties using enchantments.
  • Engineer: Builds mechanical devices, traps, and explosives.
  • Inscriptionist: Crafts scrolls, glyphs, and magical runes.
  • Jeweler: Designs magical rings, necklaces, and trinkets.
  • Leatherworker: Uses hides to create light armor.
  • Tailor: Sews magical clothing and cloth-based armor.

Learning and Progression

Each profession must be learned from a dedicated trainer, who provides basic recipes or gathering techniques. As players progress, they unlock more advanced recipes and gain access to specialized tools and resources.

Some professions are complementary and work well together. For example, a Miner can benefit from being a Blacksmith, while a Herbalist pairs naturally with the Alchemist profession.
