Ragnamex Hardcore: Professions

Ragnamex Hardcore is a challenging custom server featuring a unique and immersive profession system. Professions are a core part of the gameplay, allowing players to specialize in resource gathering or item crafting.

Each profession is learned through its corresponding instructor, located in various cities throughout the world. Some professions are focused solely on gathering materials and do not use recipes, while others are dedicated to crafting and require recipe knowledge.

Types of Professions

Professions in Ragnamex are divided into two main categories: gathering professions and crafting professions. The following table summarizes each profession, its general description, and a unique feature.

Gathering Professions

Profession Description Feature
Miner Extracts ores and gems from underground veins. Can mine rare gems needed for advanced crafting.
Herbalist Specializes in gathering natural components such as flowers, stems, thorns, and roots. Collects herbs used in alchemy and inscription.
Skinner Harvests "Animal Skins" from defeated creatures. Provides leather to Leatherworkers for light armor crafting.

Crafting Professions

Profession Description Feature
Alchemist Creates potions, elixirs, and magical brews. Can also transmute materials. Can convert herbs into minerals and craft unique elixirs.
Blacksmith Forges metal weapons and armor. Can craft shields.
Enchanter Enhances items with magical properties using enchantments. Can enchant gear to boost stats or grant effects.
Engineer Builds mechanical devices, traps, and explosives. Can craft deployable turrets and gadgets.
Inscriptionist Crafts scrolls, glyphs, and magical runes. Can create temporary buffs and teleportation scrolls.
Jeweler Designs magical rings, necklaces, and trinkets. Can cut gems and socket equipment.
Leatherworker Uses hides to create light armor. Can craft armor for rogues and hunters.
Tailor Sews magical clothing and cloth-based armor. Can craft cloaks and robes.

Learning and Progression

Each profession must be learned from a dedicated trainer, who provides basic recipes or gathering techniques. As players progress, they unlock more advanced recipes and gain access to specialized tools and resources.

Some professions are complementary and work well together. For example, a Miner can benefit from being a Blacksmith, while a Herbalist pairs naturally with the Alchemist profession.
